The history of Changchun
The history of Changchun is long. Someone lives there as early as the Paleolithic Age. It belonged to the Shushen before the Zhou Dynasty.
The clan of Louyi lived here in Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty. The Fuyu lived here in West-Han Dynasty, the Three-country Dynasty and West-Jin Dynasty. It belonged to the Gaoli in East-Jin Dynasty, the South-North Dynasty, Sui Dynasty and Tang Dynasty. The clan of Mojie built up the country of Bohai Country in Tang Dynasty. The empire of Liao was built up in North-Song Dynasty and it established a Huanglong Mansion which is Nongan country now. The Jin Country was built up in end of the North-Song Dynasty and Huanglong Mansion was changed Longan Mansion. It belonged to the Sanwanwei at the beginning of Ming Dynasty. It is a Mongolian nomad's way of life district and belonged to the Guoerluosiqianqi at the beginning of Qing Dynasty. There were business men, hotels and markets in Kuanchengzi at the end of the Yongzheng¡¯s period. It set up to cure formally in July of 1800 which was the Jiaqing¡¯s period. It established Changchunting, and the office was in the Xinli City of Changchunbao. It moved to the Kuanchengzi in 1825 which was the Daoguang¡¯s period.
Chengheng which covered 5 square kilometers was built up in 1865 which was the Tongzhi¡¯s period. The population reached to more than 90,000 in 1883. Changchunting changed to be Changchunfu in 1889. In 1896 the Empire of Russia invaded the northeast, grabbed the power of building the medium and long railroad, set up to rise the Russian living area in Changchun.
The war between Japan and Russia was over in 1906, the rights were replaced by the Empire of Japan. In order to extend the Mantie subsidiarily, the Empire of Japan started to construct the Changchun train station, developed the commercial port again in 1908. The city area was 21 square kilometers at that time, the population was about 150,000. It changed Changchun country in 1913. It established the Shizhenggongsuo and began to cure by the city. It became the politics, military, economy, cultural center of ruling the Northeast for Japan. Changchun was once freed on April 14 in 1946. But the Kuomintang destroyed the economic and various business of Changchun seriously on May 23 in 1946. The produces and living of the city got close to the place of doom, the downtown population reduced to 170 thousand finally. On October 18 in 1948, Changchun was re- acquire the liberation and is made sure for the special city. It was the special municipality under direct central control in 1953. It belonged to the Jilin Province in 1954 and changed to be the municipality directly controlled by a provincial government and to be the provincial capital of Jilin in June at the same year. It was listed as one of 15 economic center cities of nation in 1979. It was listed as the plan single row City of the nation on February 11 in 1989. It was listed as the center city following side and opening of nation in 1992.
